Sylvie Desrosiers

Born in Montreal, Sylvie Desrosiers now lives in Longueuil, Quebec, just across the bridge from Montreal, preferring a big garden with skunks to traffic jams. Sylvie writes for young children, teenagers and adults, and she won the Governor General’s award in 2008 for Les trois lieues, a novel for adolescents.

Hocus Pocus – Illustrator

Rémy Simard

Rémy Simard lives in Montreal and is the author and illustrator of many books for children, including My Dog Is an Elephant. Rémy created the character of Hocus Pocus and teamed up with Sylvie, who created the story.

Animals Do Too! – Author

Etta Kaner

Etta Kaner is a retired elementary school teacher and writer for both children and educators. Her children’s books have won numerous awards, including the Silver Birch Award, the Scientific American Young Readers Book Award and the Science in Society Book Award. She lives in Toronto, Ontario.

Marilyn Faucher

Marilyn Faucher is an illustrator and graphic designer. Her vibrant, sensitive illustrations are inspired by nature, animals, food and bicycle adventures. She lives in Montreal, Quebec.
